Calibro by Catrike:

We have developed a new tool to set your “toe-in”. This telescoping rod is easy to use and lets you calibrate the alignment of your front wheels very precisely. Easy and Quick. The Calibro is here (Italian for caliper).

Make sure the wheels are pointed forward. Place the Calibro in between the front ends of the front rims

Release thumb screw, telescope the Calibro and make both ends touch the inside of the rims. Tighten the thumb screw.

Place Calibro in between the rear ends of the front rims, at approximately the same height as measured on the front, and that would reveal the amount of toe-in or toe out of your Cat, if any. This measurement is best taken with the rider seating on the trike to take into account any deflections.

For adjustment: Unthread lock nut that holds the rod end bearing in place on spindle. Unlock jam nut that touches the tie rod. Rotate the rod end as needed to adjust the toe. Place rod end back on spindle. Measure toe again.
Re-adjust the Calibro to match the new distance between the rims.

Repeat the process 1.) Front 2.) Rear 3.) Rotate rod end 4.) Adjust the Calibro, until the front and rear have an identical distance. That would be a zero toe. If a slightly toe-is is desired, from that point rotate one of the rod ends half a turn counter clockwise.
The Calibro will be available only at Catrike dealers and in our StoreFront as of December 10th.
